WASAGA BEACH
FIRE DEPARTMENT



The Town of Wasaga Beach is a popular four-season tourist destination, which is situated
in Simcoe County at the southern end of Georgian Bay.
It is nestled in and around the 14 kilometres of white sandy beach on
Nottawasaga Bay and the winding Nottawasaga River.
Over two million people visit the Town every summer to stroll the shores of the longest
freshwater beach in the world, swim in warm clean waters and enjoy the
panoramic mountain view across the Bay.

Wasaga Beach Fire Department staff includes 10 full-time & 20 volunteer firefighters.
They utilize 9 pieces of fire fighting apparatus, and include a firefighting
water rescue craft which are located in 2 stations.
